Carolina Hands Philadelphia Its Fourth Straight Loss

The Carolina Panthers earned an important road victory Sunday, defeating the Philadelphia Eagles 25-14 at Lincoln Financial Field. Quarterback Bryce Young threw two touchdown passes, and running back Chuba Hubbard delivered a strong performance on the ground as Carolina controlled much of the afternoon.

The win improves the Panthers to 3-2, giving them momentum as they continue their push through the 2026 season. Philadelphia falls to 2-4 after suffering its fourth consecutive loss, with injuries continuing to create challenges for the defending NFC East champions.

Bryce Young Connects With Tommy Tremble

Young helped Carolina establish control early, connecting with tight end Tommy Tremble for a 12-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter. Kicker Ryan Fitzgerald added a 47-yard field goal as the Panthers built a 10-0 advantage.

Philadelphia responded before halftime when running back Dameon Pierce scored on a two-yard touchdown run, cutting Carolina’s lead to 10-7.

Young finished with 281 passing yards and two touchdowns without throwing an interception. Tremble caught both touchdown passes, providing a reliable target when the Panthers needed points.

Wide receivers Jalen Coker and Tetairoa McMillan also contributed, helping Young move the ball against Philadelphia’s defense.

Hubbard Helps Carolina Control the Game

Hubbard played a major role in the victory, rushing for 120 yards on 28 carries. His consistent production helped Carolina control possession and keep pressure on the Eagles’ defense.

Fitzgerald extended the Panthers’ advantage with a 52 yard field goal early in the second half. Carolina then put together a long scoring drive in the fourth quarter, capped by Hubbard’s one-yard touchdown run.

The Panthers failed to convert the two-point attempt, leaving them ahead 19-7.

Philadelphia made one final push when backup quarterback Tanner McKee connected with DeVonta Smith for a 19 yard touchdown. The score cut Carolina’s lead to 19-14 and briefly gave the Eagles hope of a comeback.

However, the Panthers answered when Young found Tremble for a 19 yard touchdown. The extra point was missed, but Carolina had enough breathing room to finish the game.

Panthers Build Momentum

Carolina’s defense limited Philadelphia’s offense throughout the afternoon, while the Panthers’ offense produced crucial points when needed.

The victory gives Carolina an encouraging result against a team dealing with significant injuries. The Panthers will now look to carry that momentum into their next matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Philadelphia, meanwhile, must find answers quickly after another disappointing performance. With four straight losses, the Eagles face increasing pressure to turn their season around.
