The Buffalo Bills delivered an impressive second half performance Sunday, defeating the Baltimore Ravens 36-10 at Highmark Stadium. Josh Allen led the way with three total touchdowns as Buffalo improved to 6-1, while Baltimore suffered another disappointing loss and lost quarterback Lamar Jackson to a serious thumb injury.
The game started with plenty of excitement, as Allen opened the scoring with a one-yard rushing touchdown. Buffalo added a 56 yard field goal from Tyler Bass to take an early 10-0 lead.
However, Baltimore responded after Jackson left the game with a right thumb injury on his first offensive snap. Derrick Henry scored on a two yard touchdown run, bringing the Ravens back within three points.
Josh Allen Takes Control
Buffalo entered halftime with a 16-7 advantage, but the offense found another gear after the break. James Cook extended the lead with a five yard rushing touchdown before Allen connected with D.J. Moore for an 11-yard score.
Allen added another touchdown pass late in the game, finding Dalton Kincaid for a 23-yard score that put the contest out of reach.
The Bills quarterback finished with 289 passing yards, two passing touchdowns, one interception and a rushing touchdown. His touchdown pass to Moore also moved him past Jim Kelly for the most passing touchdowns in Bills franchise history.
Ravens Lose Two Quarterbacks
Baltimore’s afternoon became even worse when backup Tyler Huntley also exited with a toe injury. That forced undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano into his NFL debut.
Fagnano finished with 91 passing yards, one interception and a lost fumble as Buffalo’s defense continued applying pressure.
The Ravens managed only 144 total yards, while Henry provided their lone touchdown.
Buffalo Sends a Message
The 36-10 victory gives Buffalo its third consecutive win and keeps the Bills near the top of the AFC.
Baltimore, meanwhile, has lost three straight games and faces serious questions at quarterback heading into its Thursday matchup against Jacksonville.
The Bills made a statement with a dominant second-half performance, but the biggest story of the afternoon was Jackson’s injury and what it could mean for Baltimore’s season.
