Deion Sanders has heard plenty of doubters since taking over Colorado.
Prime keeps answering them the same way: win football games.
Now the Buffaloes have a chance to start the season 2-0 and build some legitimate momentum.
That matters for a program that has spent the past three seasons living under an enormous national spotlight.
Sanders understands that attention better than almost anyone.
He also understands that hype only lasts when you back it up on Saturdays.
That is what makes this stretch important.
Colorado does not need to become a College Football Playoff contender overnight, it just needs to be consistent and win the games like Georgia Tech in Week 1. Done.
The Buffaloes went into a raucous environment and did what they have not done since the 2023 season opener at TCU. Win a massive game on the road.
It needs to stack wins, develop its roster and establish an identity.
Prime has already shown he can make Colorado relevant again.
Now comes the harder part: making relevance sustainable.
A 2-0 start would not prove everything.
But it would give Sanders something every coach wants early in a season:
Momentum.
And if Prime can keep Colorado rolling, the doubters might have to find a new hobby.
