College football has NIL chaos, transfer madness, conference realignment and a playoff system that requires a flowchart to understand.

So naturally, Donald Trump has entered the chat.

Trump has promoted the Save College Sports Act, an effort aimed at bringing more structure to the rapidly changing world of college athletics.

And honestly, college football could use some structure.

The sport has spent years turning into professional football with college logos, except nobody bothered to write down the rules.

Players can move. Conferences can move. Money moves. Schools move.

Fans just sit there trying to figure out what the hell happened to their Saturday.

Trump’s involvement certainly guarantees one thing:

This will not be boring.

Whether the legislation ultimately fixes college sports remains to be seen.

But if the goal is preserving college football as something resembling the sport people grew up watching, the conversation is worth having.

Because right now, college football does not exactly look broken.

It looks like someone left the NCAA in charge of a group project.
