The Dallas Cowboys earned a massive NFC East victory Monday night, defeating the Philadelphia Eagles 38-21 at Lincoln Financial Field. Behind a strong performance from Dak Prescott and a dominant rushing attack, Dallas snapped its two game losing streak while handing Philadelphia its fifth consecutive defeat.

The Cowboys improved to 3-4 on the season, keeping themselves in the NFC East race. Meanwhile, the Eagles dropped to 2-5 and continued to struggle without starting quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Prescott and Williams Lead Dallas Offense

Prescott delivered an efficient performance, throwing for 212 yards and three touchdowns without committing a turnover. He connected twice with CeeDee Lamb for touchdowns and found George Pickens for another score.

Lamb provided a major spark in the passing game, consistently creating opportunities for Prescott. His two touchdown receptions helped Dallas maintain control during a competitive first half before the Cowboys pulled away after the break.

However, the biggest difference came on the ground. Javonte Williams rushed for a career-high 155 yards and added a touchdown, powering a Dallas rushing attack that finished with 204 yards.

The Cowboys totaled 416 yards of offense and avoided costly mistakes throughout the night. Their ability to control the line of scrimmage allowed them to wear down Philadelphia’s defense as the game progressed.

Dallas entered halftime with a 20-14 advantage, but the game remained close heading into the second half.

Eagles Briefly Take the Lead Before Dallas Pulls Away

Philadelphia showed signs of life despite playing without Hurts. Backup quarterback Tanner McKee threw for 211 yards and a touchdown, while rookie Makai Lemon caught a touchdown pass.

Running back Saquon Barkley also returned from a hamstring injury and scored on an eight-yard touchdown run, giving the Eagles an early boost.

Philadelphia’s best moment came early in the third quarter when Lemon’s touchdown reception helped the Eagles take a 21-20 lead. For a brief stretch, the home crowd had reason to believe Philadelphia could end its losing streak.

Dallas quickly responded, however. Prescott connected with Lamb for another touchdown, and the Cowboys converted a two-point attempt to regain control.

Brandon Aubrey added three field goals, while Williams’ late touchdown run put the game away. Dallas scored 18 unanswered points after falling behind, shutting out Philadelphia in the fourth quarter.

Looking Ahead

The victory gives Dallas important momentum as it attempts to climb back into playoff contention. Prescott’s efficiency and Williams’ production offer encouraging signs for an offense that needed a strong response.

Philadelphia, meanwhile, faces increasing pressure to find answers. With five straight losses and uncertainty at quarterback, the Eagles must improve quickly to keep their season from slipping further away.

Monday night’s result could prove significant in a tightly contested NFC East race, with Dallas leaving Philadelphia with a much-needed victory.
