The Chicago Bears delivered a statement victory on Monday Night Football, defeating the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks 34-17 at Lumen Field. Chicago pulled away in the fourth quarter behind a three-touchdown performance from D’Andre Swift, extending its winning streak to three games and improving to 6-2.

The Seahawks entered the matchup hoping to build on their impressive win over Kansas City, but struggled to find consistency on offense. Seattle dropped to 4-4 after another frustrating performance.

Swift Takes Over for Chicago

Chicago established control early, putting together an impressive opening drive that ended with Caleb Williams connecting with Luther Burden III for a one yard touchdown.

Williams continued to lead an efficient offense, finishing with 247 passing yards and a touchdown while completing 24 of 34 attempts.

Swift became the biggest difference-maker as the game progressed. The running back finished with 69 rushing yards on 27 carries and found the end zone three times, including two touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

His ability to finish drives helped Chicago maintain control even when Seattle threatened to make things interesting.

Seahawks Attempt a Comeback

Seattle managed to stay within reach thanks to its passing game. Sam Darnold connected with Jaxon Smith-Njigba for a 43 yard touchdown before halftime, giving the Seahawks an important offensive spark.

Smith-Njigba finished with 118 receiving yards and a touchdown, continuing to demonstrate why he is one of Seattle’s most dangerous offensive weapons.

After Swift’s first touchdown gave Chicago a 20-9 advantage, the Seahawks made one final push. Darnold found Cooper Kupp for a touchdown before Seattle converted a two point attempt to cut the deficit to 20-17.

However, Chicago quickly responded. Swift scored his second and third touchdowns of the night, putting the game out of reach.

The Bears’ defense also delivered several important plays, including a blocked field goal and a late interception that helped secure the victory.

Bears Continue Building Momentum

Chicago’s performance was impressive on both sides of the football. Williams controlled the offense, Swift delivered in the red zone, and the defense made enough plays to keep Seattle from completing its comeback.

The debut of defensive lineman Jeffery Simmons also provided a boost, as he helped disrupt Seattle’s offense and recorded a sack.

The Bears are now 6-2 and have won three consecutive games, giving them plenty of momentum as they continue their push toward the playoffs.

Seattle, meanwhile, will need to find answers after struggling to sustain drives and convert third downs.

Chicago showed why it deserves to be taken seriously in the NFC, while Seattle was left with plenty of questions after a disappointing home loss.
