Angel Reese is making headlines again, but this time it’s for all the wrong reasons.
After struggling offensively in the WNBA Finals, Reese decided to turn her attention toward the officiating, claiming that her team wasn’t getting enough foul calls.
Seriously?
According to a widely circulated claim, the Atlanta Dream attempted 50 more free throws than the Golden State Valkyries throughout the Finals. If that number is accurate, Reese’s complaints become even harder to defend.
At some point, the excuses have to stop.
Reese has faced criticism for her offensive struggles, questionable shot selection, and inability to consistently finish around the basket. Instead of pointing fingers at the referees, maybe it’s time to look in the mirror.
The most frustrating part? Reese continues to generate headlines for everything except her offensive production.
You can’t struggle to make shots and then act like the referees are the biggest problem.
Maybe the refs aren’t the issue, Angel. Maybe it’s your game.
