LOS ANGELES — Chad Powers is back, and keeping the secret is getting harder.
Hulu’s sports comedy starring Glen Powell returned for its second season Sept. 3, with all six episodes now available to stream. The new season picks up with Russ Holliday continuing to live behind the disguise of Chad Powers as he attempts to lead the struggling South Georgia Catfish toward the College Football Playoff.
The problem? Everyone is starting to get suspicious.
Chad has become a star on the field, but his increasingly strange behavior off it has Coach Hudson and quarterback Gerry asking questions. Meanwhile, Ricky knows the truth, leaving Russ and Danny with one increasingly difficult task: keeping Chad Powers alive long enough to finish the season.
The second season brings back Powell alongside Perry Mattfeld, Quentin Plair, Wynn Everett, Frankie A. Rodriguez and Steve Zahn. Powell also serves as co-creator, co-writer and executive producer alongside Michael Waldron. Eli Manning and Peyton Manning remain executive producers.
Inspired by Manning’s viral undercover quarterback experiment, Chad Powers has grown from a simple sports comedy into a story about redemption, identity and just how long someone can maintain a ridiculous lie before everything falls apart.
This time, the stakes are higher.
