After an April test session and the IndyCar road course weekend, the focus now fully shifts to the Indianapolis 500. Practice for the biggest race in America begins today, signaling that the Month of May has truly arrived. The helmets are on. The boost is coming. It is finally 500 time.
And somehow, that is only part of the chaos.
This weekend also brings the legendary 24 Hours Nürburgring, which unusually lands in May instead of June. Tickets are sold out. Fans packed Germany days in advance. Even Max Verstappen is expected to be part of the madness, adding even more star power to one of the wildest races on the planet.
Back in America, NASCAR Cup Series heads to Dover Motor Speedway for a loaded weekend featuring Trucks, O’Reilly and the Cup Series All-Star Race festivities. NASCAR even handed Cup teams multiple practice days, something fans have begged to see more often.
Then there’s ARCA and the short tracks and dirt stuff.
Then comes next weekend. The crown jewels.
