Finally, it’s time to go Back Home Again.
Practice for the Indianapolis 500 officially begins Tuesday as the Month of May shifts fully into Indy 500 mode.
According to Bob Pockrass, Tuesday’s opening practice session is scheduled from 12-2 p.m. ET on FS2 and 4-6 p.m. ET on FS1. Forecasts currently call for temperatures in the 70s with only a small chance of rain.
After IndyCar teams spent the past week on the Indianapolis road course and completed an April open test session on the oval, drivers now turn their full attention toward preparing for the 110th running of the Indy 500.
The next two weeks will feature practice, qualifying drama, Fast Friday and Carb Day before the green flag drops later this month at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
