Joe Thuney has been named the inaugural NFL protector of the year, a new award that recognizes the league’s top offensive lineman. The honor was announced at NFL Honors.
Now with the Chicago Bears, Thuney earned the award for his consistent, high-level play in the trenches. Known for his technique, durability, and football IQ, he anchored the offensive line while helping protect the quarterback and support the run game.
This first-ever award puts a spotlight on the importance of offensive linemen, and Joe Thuney sets the standard as its first winner.
