Chandler Smith Charges from Ninth to Dominate FaithFest 250 at North Wilkesboro

Chandler Smith put together one of the most commanding performances of the 2026 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season on Saturday, as he started from P9 and went all the way to win the FaithFest 250 presented by Mercer Transportation at North Wilkesboro Speedway.

While Smith rolled off from P9, it didn’t take long for the No. 38 Front Row Motorsports Ford to make its way toward the front. Methodically picking off competitors in the opening stages, Smith eventually took control of the race and never looked back.

The most impressive statistic came at the finish, where Smith crossed the line more than nine seconds ahead of his teammate Layne Riggs who finished P2. this was the largest margin of victory on a short track in the history of the Craftsman Truck Series.

On top of that record breaking stat, Smith also led 105 of the race’s 250 laps, showcasing the speed and consistency that made him virtually untouchable throughout the afternoon.

After winning at North Wilkesboro a year ago, Smith returned in 2026 and delivered another masterclass, proving once again that he has the field covered whenever the Truck Series visits the iconic 0.625-mile oval.
