Lewis Hamilton to NASCAR? The Rumors are Swirling

Could Lewis Hamilton really be heading to NASCAR?

The rumors surrounding a possible fourth Trackhouse Racing entry for the June race at the San Diego Street Course continue to grow, and Hamilton’s name is now right in the middle of the speculation.

The timing makes the idea feel surprisingly realistic. Formula One is off that weekend, giving Hamilton a rare opening in his schedule. The seven-time world champion also spends plenty of time in the United States, reportedly owns a home stateside and has become even more tied to American celebrity culture through his relationship with Kim Kardashian.

Beyond the off-track buzz, the racing side actually makes sense too.

San Diego is expected to be a tight, technical street circuit rather than a traditional NASCAR oval, meaning the layout could naturally favor drivers with Formula One backgrounds. Hamilton has spent his entire career mastering temporary street courses and high-speed braking zones, exactly the kind of challenge NASCAR’s newest event may present.

Add in the fact that Hamilton is now entering the later stages of his F1 career, and the possibility of trying something completely different suddenly feels far less impossible.

Nothing has been confirmed, but the idea of one of Formula One’s greatest drivers jumping into a NASCAR stock car on the streets of San Diego would instantly become one of the biggest crossover moments in modern motorsports.
