The 2026 Truist Championship is loaded with star power this week at Quail Hollow Club, and oddsmakers are heavily backing Rory McIlroy to dominate once again on one of his favorite courses.
McIlroy enters Charlotte as the betting favorite at around +550 to +600 across major sportsbooks after returning to elite form this spring. The four-time Quail Hollow winner has been nearly unstoppable lately, highlighted by his second straight Masters title and another surge toward the top of the world rankings.
Right behind him is Cameron Young, sitting around +850 to +950 after an explosive 2026 campaign that already includes wins at The Players Championship and the Cadillac Championship. Xander Schauffele follows closely at roughly +1000, with many analysts viewing Quail Hollow as one of the best fits on Tour for his game.
Other major contenders include Ludvig Åberg at around +1400 to +1600, Matt Fitzpatrick around +1400 to +1650, and Tommy Fleetwood in the +2400 to +2500 range. Bettors are also keeping an eye on Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay and Sam Burns as potential value plays.
One of the biggest storylines entering the week, however, is the absence of world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler. Scheffler elected to skip the event while preparing for next week’s PGA Championship, leaving the door open for one of golf’s other superstars to steal the spotlight in Charlotte.
