How does this keep happening?
The Packers just blew another completely winnable game.
Green Bay led Minnesota 22-10 late in the third quarter Sunday. Kyler Murray was already out with a concussion, leaving Carson Wentz at quarterback for the Vikings.
This game should have been over.
Instead, Minnesota scored the final 29 points and won 39-22. (reuters.com)
The biggest mistake came early in the fourth quarter.
Green Bay made a field goal that would’ve given it a 25-17 lead, but Minnesota was offsides. Matt LaFleur took the points off the board, accepted the penalty and went for it on fourth-and-1.
Jordan Love got stuffed.
Minnesota immediately responded with a touchdown drive to take the lead. Love was then strip-sacked on Green Bay’s next possession before throwing an interception on the one after that. (infonews.ca)
22-10 became 39-22.
And that’s what makes this so concerning.
Green Bay blew four second-half leads of at least nine points last season, including an 18-point lead against Chicago in the playoffs. (infonews.ca)
Now they’ve started 2026 doing the exact same thing.
The Packers have enough talent to win these games.
They just can’t seem to finish them.
At some point, it’s no longer bad luck.
