Jacob Misiorowski might be one of the most intimidating pitchers in baseball, but at the Milwaukee Brewers’ World Series championship parade, he showed fans a completely different side of himself.
The Brewers ace was ready to celebrate, and one fan made sure he had a drink in his hand.
As Misiorowski rode along the parade route atop a double-decker bus, a fan launched a beer toward him. The 6-foot-7 right-hander somehow snagged it with ONE HAND before immediately chugging it in front of the roaring Milwaukee crowd.
The moment instantly went viral, and it’s safe to say the Brewers fans loved every second of it.
But the beer catch wasn’t the only sign that the celebration had been going for a while. Misiorowski admitted during the parade that the team had barely slept since winning the World Series.
“Not at all. Yeah, we’re running on probably two, three hours,” he told FOX6.
The Brewers had celebrated their historic championship in Tampa Bay, made an appearance at Lambeau Field to watch the Packers, and then returned to Milwaukee for a massive parade. Needless to say, the party never really stopped.
Misiorowski was clearly enjoying every second of it. After helping Milwaukee capture its first World Series championship in franchise history, the star pitcher had every reason to let loose with his teammates and the fans who supported them all season.
He’s used to making headlines by throwing baseballs over 100 mph. This time, he was making headlines for catching a beer out of the air and finishing it like a champion.
