With 10 races left in the regular season, the Great American Getaway 400 on Sunday marks the final event before NASCAR’s inaugural in-season tournament. Ryan Blaney, the defending winner, aims to repeat for Team Penske, while Denny Hamlin, with a record seven Pocono victories, returns after missing the Mexico City race.
The 2.5-mile tri-oval track, located in Long Pond, Pennsylvania, challenges drivers with its unique three-turn layout: Turn 1 at 14 degrees, Turn 2 at 8 degrees, and Turn 3 at 6 degrees. The 400-mile race spans 160 laps, with Stage 1 ending at Lap 30, Stage 2 at Lap 95, and the final stage concluding at Lap 160. The track’s long frontstretch (3,740 feet) and varying corners demand strategic driving.
Fans can catch the action across multiple platforms. On Friday, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series’ MillerTech Battery 200 airs at 5 p.m. EDT on FS1, with practice and qualifying on FS2 at 12:35 p.m. Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series Explore the Pocono Mountains 250 starts at 3:30 p.m. on The CW, with practice and qualifying streaming on The CW App at 10 a.m. The Cup Series’ practice and qualifying stream on Prime Video at 12:35 p.m. and 1:45 p.m., respectively. Sunday’s Great American Getaway 400 begins at 2 p.m. on Prime Video, with pre-race coverage at 1 p.m. Motor Racing Network (MRN) and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio will broadcast all races, including the Cup Series event, starting at 1 p.m. Sunday.
