At some point, people are going to have to admit it.
Angel Reese is really good at basketball.
Reese has spent most of her WNBA career as one of the league’s most criticized and polarizing players.
But in her first season with the Atlanta Dream, she’s putting together a ridiculous year.
Through 39 games, Reese is averaging 16.1 points, 12.4 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game.
She leads the entire WNBA in rebounding and has already recorded 29 double-doubles.
And somehow, that’s not even the craziest part.
Reese grabbed a WNBA-record 26 rebounds in one game, broke the league’s single-season rebounding record and set a new single-season double-double record.
She was also named Eastern Conference Player of the Week in back-to-back weeks.
This isn’t empty production on a terrible team, either.
Atlanta entered the World Cup break 26-14 and already locked into the playoffs.
Reese has become one of the biggest reasons why.
People can debate her shooting, personality or rivalry with Caitlin Clark all they want.
But the production is getting harder to argue with.
Angel Reese isn’t just a celebrity who plays basketball.
She’s becoming one of the best players in the WNBA.
At some point, you just have to give her credit.
