ANGEL REESE CAN’T CARRY THE ATLANTA DREAM. BUT IS SHE HELPING ENOUGH? 🔥
Let’s make one thing clear: Atlanta’s offensive problems are bigger than one player.
The Dream scored just 55 points in Monday night’s 64-55 loss to the Golden State Valkyries. Now, Atlanta trails 3-2 in the WNBA Finals and faces a must-win situation.
Reese scored seven points.
Her supporters will point out that Golden State has made scoring in the paint difficult and that Atlanta needs more production from the rest of its roster. That’s a legitimate argument.
But critics have a point, too.
Reese previously showed her ceiling with a 30-point, 16-rebound performance in Game 2. That is the version of Reese Atlanta needs if it hopes to survive.
The question isn’t whether Reese is talented. It’s whether she can consistently deliver offensively against the best competition when the pressure rises.
If the Dream lose this series, the blame shouldn’t automatically fall entirely on Reese. But she shouldn’t be completely exempt from criticism, either.
Pick a side:
🔥 TEAM ANGEL: Atlanta’s supporting cast is letting her down.
👀 TEAM CRITICS: Reese has to be better when it matters most.
