Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark just did something the internet apparently wasn’t prepared for.
They had fun together.
The two stars joined forces for Team USA at the 2026 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup, and their chemistry has become one of the tournament’s biggest storylines.
That continued Thursday.
The United States destroyed Hungary 108-56 in the quarterfinals, with Clark recording 10 points and nine assists and Reese adding nine points and six rebounds.
More importantly, the two looked completely comfortable playing together.
Reese even said they know each other’s games extremely well after competing against each other for years.
That should not be controversial.
But the Clark-Reese rivalry has become such a massive part of women’s basketball discourse that seeing them actually enjoy playing together feels like breaking news.
Maybe the rivalry was never as personal as people wanted it to be.
Maybe two extremely competitive players can dislike losing to each other while still respecting each other.
Crazy concept.
