Josh Allen continues to cement his place among the greatest players in Buffalo Bills history. During Sunday’s 36-10 victory over the Baltimore Ravens, Allen made franchise history by passing Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly for the most career passing touchdowns in team history, including the regular season and playoffs.

The historic moment came in the fourth quarter when Allen connected with wide receiver D.J. Moore on an 11 yard touchdown pass. It was the 259th passing touchdown of Allen’s career, moving him past Kelly’s previous mark of 258.

The milestone was even more special with Kelly in attendance to watch Allen take over the top spot in the franchise record book.

Allen Continues to Rewrite the Record Books

Allen has steadily climbed Buffalo’s record books since the team selected him seventh overall in the 2018 NFL Draft. His combination of passing ability, mobility and playmaking has made him one of the most productive quarterbacks in franchise history.

He has become the centerpiece of Buffalo’s offense and helped turn the Bills into a consistent contender in the AFC.

What makes this accomplishment especially impressive is how quickly Allen reached the record. He surpassed Kelly’s combined passing touchdown total in fewer games, continuing to build an impressive resume while still playing in the prime of his career.

There is another milestone within reach, too. Kelly still holds the franchise record for regular season passing touchdowns with 237. Allen entered Sunday’s game with 229 regular-season touchdown passes, meaning he is getting closer to taking that record as well.

A Special Moment for Buffalo

Allen finished Sunday’s victory with 289 passing yards and two touchdown passes. He also added a rushing touchdown as Buffalo improved to 6-1.

Passing a franchise legend like Kelly is an accomplishment that will remain part of Allen’s legacy long after his playing career ends.

At just 30 years old, Allen has already established himself as one of the most important players in Bills history. With plenty of football still ahead, he has an opportunity to make the franchise record book even harder for future quarterbacks to reach.
