Katie George Is Officially a Sports Media Psycho

Some people had a relaxing Sunday.

Katie George apparently looked at the sports calendar and said, “Why not do two cities and two sports instead?”

George spent Sunday night in Nashville working the nationally televised Ole Miss-Louisville game at Nissan Stadium for ABC.

Then came Monday.

New York.

The U.S. Open.

Different sport. Different city. Same Katie George.

At some point, you have to stop calling this a work schedule and start calling it a hostile takeover of the American sports calendar.

Sunday night she’s on the sideline in Nashville while the college football season kicks off.

Monday afternoon she’s in New York helping ESPN cover the U.S. Open, which is about as dramatic a genre switch as sports media can offer.

Football to tennis.

Nashville to New York.

Sunday night to Monday afternoon.

Meanwhile, the rest of us need 45 minutes and a large coffee just to answer emails.

George’s 2026 ESPN workload is already ridiculous, too. ESPN has her hosting daytime U.S. Open coverage throughout the tournament after establishing herself as one of the network’s college football faces.

This is what happens when you are apparently incapable of having a normal weekend.

Katie George isn’t just working sports.

She’s speedrunning them.

Somewhere between the final whistle in Nashville and first serve in New York, she probably had time to change outfits, cross half the country and wonder why everyone else was moving so slowly.

Absolute rockstar.
