One of the most prestigious short track races in America is taking center stage this week as the Slinger Nationals has been selected as Lead Lap Racing’s Flo Race of the Week.

Held annually at the legendary Slinger Speedway, the Slinger Nationals has built a reputation as one of the crown jewel events in pavement short track racing. With a rich history dating back to 1980, the event has featured some of the biggest names in motorsports, from NASCAR stars to the nation’s top Super Late Model competitors.

With a Bracket Challenge event being held on Monday evening and a 200 lap feature being held on Tuesday night, it’s a short track event that every race fan won’t want to miss.

Carson Brown won the pole in the bracket style shootout on Monday, while former Truck Series star Derek Kraus won the 100-lap late model feature. On Tuesday, it’s officially the big one.

Here at EasySportz and Lead Lap Racing, we treat grassroots’ biggest nights exactly as they should be. This is the Super Bowl.

We know a thing or two about Super Bowls in racing. Now, it’s race car game day, baby.

Adding even more excitement to this year’s edition is the presence of NASCAR Cup Series driver Carson Hocevar and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series champion Ty Majeski, who are both expected to compete in the prestigious 200-lap event. Their participation adds star power to an already stacked field, giving fans the opportunity to watch two of NASCAR’s standout drivers return to their short track roots against some of the best Super Late Model racers in the country.

Lead Lap Racing selected the Slinger Nationals as its Flo Race of the Week because it’s a race with true prestige, history and excitement for the fans as well as being one of the most historic short track races for Super Late Models. This place has been around since World War II and the Nationals have been a thing since the 80’s.

Whether you’re a longtime short track fan or discovering the Slinger Nationals for the first time, this week’s showcase is one race you won’t want to miss. So hop on Flo Racing and take in some Tuesday night short-track action.

Now, let’s do a little Darfin’ baby.
