Saturday, the ‘Real Racers’ Showed Out on a Global Stage

The real wheelmen showed out Saturday from Dover to Germany.

At Dover Motor Speedway, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. channeled his inner Jimmie Johnson during qualifying, somehow saving a near-certain crash and keeping his car off the wall in one of the wildest moments of the day at the Monster Mile.

Later in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race, Corey Day reminded everyone why so many in the garage are hyping him as the future. The dirt racing prodigy charged back through the field to hunt down and beat Justin Allgaier in a thrilling finish, delivering another statement win for Hendrick Motorsports.

Meanwhile across the Atlantic at the Nürburgring, Max Verstappen put on an absolute clinic during his opening stint, carving through traffic with breathtaking aggression and precision on one of the most intimidating circuits in the world.

Different tracks. Different cars. Different disciplines.

Same result.

The real racers showed up and reminded everyone what elite car control actually looks like.
