Game 2 of the SEC Baseball Tournament features a matchup that still feels strange to longtime college baseball fans.
The No. 12 seed Vanderbilt Commodores take on the No. 13 seed Kentucky Wildcats on Tuesday afternoon in Hoover, with both programs trying to keep their postseason hopes alive.
The surprising storyline is Vanderbilt even playing this early in Hoover.
For years, the Commodores were one of the SEC’s gold standards under coach Tim Corbin, regularly dominating the conference tournament, hosting regionals and making deep runs to Omaha.
