After more than a decade of talk, negotiations and speculation, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua are finally going to fight.
The long-awaited all-British heavyweight showdown was officially announced Thursday, with Fury and Joshua set to meet on December 11 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. The fight will stream globally on Netflix.
For years, Fury and Joshua were two of the biggest names in boxing, but the matchup repeatedly failed to come together. Now, the two former heavyweight champions will finally settle their rivalry inside the ring.
Two Former Champions Collide
Fury enters the fight with a professional record of 36-2-1 with 25 knockouts, while Joshua is 30-4 with 27 knockouts. Neither fighter has ever faced the other professionally.
Both have held multiple heavyweight world championships during their careers and spent years near the top of the division.
Fury returned from retirement in 2026 and has recorded victories over Arslanbek Makhmudov and Mariusz Wach. Joshua’s recent career has included a knockout victory over Jake Paul in December 2025 before another victory over Kristian Prenga.
Cardiff Will Host the Blockbuster
The fight will take place at Principality Stadium, giving British boxing fans the opportunity to see the two heavyweight stars compete on home soil.
The venue can hold more than 70,000 spectators and has a retractable roof, making it a natural choice for a major December event.
Netflix will stream the fight worldwide to its members at no additional cost. A press conference featuring both fighters is scheduled for September 30 in London.
