The Green Bay Packers have made a massive commitment to one of the most important young pieces of their offense.

The Packers have agreed to a four-year contract extension with tight end Tucker Kraft, keeping him in Green Bay through the 2030 season. The deal is worth $75 million in base salary, with bonuses and escalators capable of pushing the total value to $92 million.

Packers Reward Their Rising Star

Kraft has quickly developed into one of the most dangerous young tight ends in the NFL.

Before suffering a torn ACL last November, Kraft was putting together a breakout season. He recorded 32 catches for 489 yards and six touchdowns in just eight games, establishing himself as a major weapon in the Packers’ offense.

Green Bay clearly believes that production is only the beginning.

The new contract makes Kraft one of the highest-paid tight ends in football and gives the Packers another major offensive piece locked up for the long term.

A Massive Deal For Kraft

The financial details make this extension even more significant.

Kraft’s contract includes a reported $26.5 million signing bonus, believed to be a record for an NFL tight end. The $75 million in base salary averages $18.75 million per season, while incentives could push the annual value even higher.

The deal comes after months of negotiations between Kraft and the Packers.

Green Bay entered the offseason hoping to secure its young tight end before he reached free agency, and the two sides ultimately got the deal done as the 2026 season begins.

Kraft Is Ready To Return

The timing of the extension is especially important because Kraft is also preparing to return from his ACL injury.

He has progressed throughout the offseason and has been practicing in full pads. Kraft is not listed on the Packers’ Week 1 injury report, meaning he is expected to be available for Sunday’s matchup against Minnesota.

Now, Kraft gets to begin the next chapter of his career with long-term security.

The Packers are betting that their young tight end can become one of the best players at his position.

Tucker Kraft is staying in Green Bay — and the Packers just made a massive investment in his future.
