Golf fans might finally get another look at Tiger Woods.
Woods is being tipped to make an appearance at the Nexus Cup, his foundation’s annual charity event taking place September 14-15 at Liberty National.
And there’s a chance we could actually see him hitting golf balls again.
Woods traditionally hosts a clinic at the event, and speculation is growing that he could do the same this year.
That’s a pretty big deal considering Woods hasn’t played a competitive round since the 2024 Open Championship.
Of course, this wouldn’t mean Tiger is officially returning to the PGA Tour.
But at 50 years old, every appearance matters when people are wondering whether we’ll ever see him compete seriously again.
There’s also another interesting wrinkle.
Woods is scheduled to participate in a major PGA Tour board meeting Monday, where potential changes to the future structure of the Tour are expected to be discussed.
So even while he’s barely playing, Tiger is still heavily involved in the future of professional golf.
But let’s be real.
Fans don’t just want to see Tiger in a meeting.
They want to see him with a golf club in his hands again.
And we might finally get that this week.
