Tiger Woods could be preparing for a major golf comeback after Kevin Kisner revealed plans involving TGL, his son Charlie, and the 2027 Masters.
Tiger Woods might not be finished just yet.
After a difficult year filled with injuries, legal troubles, and rehabilitation, the 15-time major champion could finally be preparing for his long-awaited return to competitive golf.
And according to former teammate Kevin Kisner, Woods has some pretty ambitious plans.
During an appearance on Barstool Sports’ Fore Play podcast, Kisner revealed that Woods wants to play a full schedule in TGL, the indoor golf league he helped establish.
“Tiger wants to play,” Kisner explained while discussing why his own contract with Jupiter Links Golf Club wasn’t renewed.
But Woods apparently has much bigger goals than just returning to TGL.
Kisner believes the 50-year-old could compete in December’s Hero World Challenge before teaming up with his son Charlie at the PNC Championship. Those appearances could potentially set the stage for something golf fans have been waiting years to see.
Another Tiger Woods appearance at Augusta National.
Kisner suggested that Woods could use those tournaments and the upcoming TGL season to prepare for the 2027 Masters.
The potential comeback comes after a challenging stretch for Woods, who was arrested following a March car crash in Florida and later entered rehabilitation. He subsequently resolved the case through a plea agreement involving a reduced reckless-driving charge.
Woods has also battled numerous injuries and surgeries, with his last official PGA Tour appearance coming at the 2024 Open Championship.
Still, Kisner believes the legendary golfer’s competitive fire remains as strong as ever.
While Woods has yet to officially confirm his tournament schedule, the possibility of seeing him compete alongside Charlie before making another run at Augusta is certainly exciting.
At 50 years old, does Tiger Woods have one more magical comeback left in him?
