The WNBA has plenty of stars.

But Sophie Cunningham has figured out how to become impossible to ignore.

The Indiana Fever guard has spent the 2026 season becoming one of the league’s biggest personalities, both on and off the court. She is now one of the WNBA’s most-followed players on social media, and her popularity has continued to explode.

That makes everything surrounding Cunningham a little more interesting.

During the league’s current break, she has stayed busy away from the court. She recently returned to Missouri and has continued making appearances and growing her profile outside of basketball.

And, of course, Cunningham continues to look ridiculously good while doing it.

That certainly hasn’t hurt her growing army of fans.

She has become the kind of player who can generate attention simply by walking into an arena. Her personality, appearance and willingness to speak her mind have turned her into something much bigger than another WNBA role player.

The basketball is still there, too.

Cunningham is shooting 43.4% from 3-point range this season, according to ESPN.

But let’s be honest.

A lot of people are paying attention for another reason.

Sophie Cunningham has become the WNBA’s newest obsession.

And the league probably isn’t complaining about the extra eyeballs.
