- Ole Miss Rebels (5-0, 3-0 SEC) The Rebels had a bye week after becoming the first team in the SEC to reach three conference wins (including that huge Week 5 victory over LSU). They own the best resume and remain the top dog until someone knocks them off. Next Week: vs. Washington State
- Texas A&M Aggies (5-0, 2-0 SEC) The Aggies are 5-0 and rolling. They put a beating on Mississippi State, 31-9, behind a phenomenal rushing attack (299 rushing yards). Head Coach Mike Elko has this team focused, sitting tied atop the conference with two SEC wins. Next Week: vs. Florida
- Oklahoma Sooners (5-0, 1-0 SEC) Despite losing starting QB John Mateer to injury, the Sooners cruised to a 44-0 shutout victory over Kent State. Their defense is elite, allowing them to withstand any offensive struggles. They are officially ready for the biggest game of their season. Next Week: vs. Texas (Red River Rivalry, Dallas)
- Alabama Crimson Tide (4-1, 2-0 SEC)Alabama delivered a statement road win over the undefeated Vanderbilt Commodores, 30-14. QB Ty Simpson is playing fantastic football, and the Tide have two quality SEC wins under their belt now.Next Week: at #14 Missouri
- Georgia Bulldogs (4-1, 2-1 SEC) The Bulldogs bounced back with a dominant 35-14 win over Kentucky. While the loss to Alabama in Week 5 stings, their overall profile remains strong. They must win on the road this week to stay in the CFP picture. Next Week: at Auburn
- Missouri Tigers (5-0, 1-0 SEC) Missouri had a bye week and sits at a perfect 5-0. They climb into the top five due to the chaos below them, setting the stage for a massive home game against Alabama that will determine the leadership of the SEC. Next Week: vs. #8 Alabama
- Tennessee Volunteers (4-1, 1-1 SEC) The Vols had a bye week and stay put. They get a revenge game this week against a Razorback team playing its first game with interim HC Bobby Petrino. The Vols’ offense is explosive enough to beat anyone on any given Saturday. Next Week: vs. Arkansas
- LSU Tigers (4-1, 1-1 SEC) LSU had a bye week after their close loss to Ole Miss. They need to get healthier on offense, particularly at running back and quarterback, to avoid another unexpected loss. Next Week: vs. South Carolina
- Vanderbilt Commodores (5-1, 1-1 SEC) The incredible 5-0 run comes to an end, as the Commodores fall to Alabama, 30-14. While the loss stings, Vanderbilt proved they belong by being ranked and hanging around in the first half. They are still a surprising 5-1. Next Week: Bye
- Florida Gators (2-3, 1-1 SEC) The SEC Conference upset of the year! The Gators, previously 1-3, came alive at home to defeat rival Texas 29-21. This win gives them a huge spark and a respectable 1-1 conference record heading into a tough stretch starting Saturday in College Station. Next Week: at #5 Texas A&M
- Texas Longhorns (3-2, 0-1 SEC) The Longhorns suffer a disastrous loss to Florida, 29-21, dropping them to 0-1 in the SEC. Arch Manning again struggled in a tough road environment. Texas’ playoff aspirations are now officially on life support before the biggest game of the year. Next Week: vs. #6 Oklahoma (Red River Rivalry, Dallas)
- South Carolina Gamecocks (3-2, 1-2 SEC) South Carolina had a bye week after securing their first conference win against Kentucky in Week 5. They desperately need another win to climb out of the bottom half of the SEC. Next Week: at #11 LSU
- Mississippi State Bulldogs (4-2, 0-2 SEC) The Bulldogs fall to 0-2 in conference after a 31-9 loss to Texas A&M. While they are 4-2 overall, the road through the SEC looks incredibly tough now. Next Week: Bye
- Auburn Tigers (3-2, 0-2 SEC) Auburn had a bye week. Their offense is struggling mightily (0-2 in SEC play), and a matchup against a motivated Georgia team at home is not the answer they are looking for. Next Week: vs. #10 Georgia
- Arkansas Razorbacks (2-3, 0-1 SEC) Arkansas had a bye week. They continue to sit at the bottom of the rankings as they look to turn things around under new head coach Bobby Petrino. Next Week: at #12 Tennessee
