Carlos Alcaraz took care of business on the court.

Paige Lorenze may have stolen the show off it.

Alcaraz defeated Tommy Paul at the U.S. Open, ending Paul’s run in New York. But while the four-time Grand Slam champion handled business on the court, plenty of tennis fans were paying attention to Paul’s box.

That is where Lorenze was sitting.

Paul’s wife showed up in New York in an outfit that immediately got people talking. Even her husband apparently had trouble finding the right words.

His response to one of her Instagram posts?

“Woah.”

Honestly, fair enough.

Lorenze has become a familiar face around professional tennis since she and Paul began dating in 2022. The couple married earlier this summer, and she has regularly supported him at tournaments around the world.

Now, she has another U.S. Open appearance to add to the list.

Unfortunately for Paul, the tournament is over.

Alcaraz advanced, while Paul will have to wait until next year for another shot at making a deep run in New York.

Lorenze, meanwhile, appears to have had no trouble keeping the attention on her.

The social media influencer has built an audience of more than 1 million followers and has established her own career outside of tennis.

So, yes, Carlos Alcaraz won the match.

But if you spent any time looking at the crowd, you probably understand why Paige Lorenze became one of the bigger stories surrounding it.

Tennis was supposed to be the main attraction.

The internet had other ideas.
