Boulder, Colo. — No. 19 Kansas held on for a hard-fought 75-69 win over Colorado on Tuesday night, improving to 14-5 overall and 4-2 in Big 12 play. The Jayhawks survived a hostile CU crowd in Boulder, with Darryn Peterson leading the way with 16 points, including a key 3-pointer down the stretch. Melvin Council Jr. added 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists, scoring 10 of those points in the final 5:07 to help seal the victory. Tre White contributed 17 points and 15 rebounds, while Bryson Tiller chipped in 5 points and 3 assists.
Colorado, dropping to 12-7 and 2-4 in conference play, saw Isaiah Johnson lead with 19 points, followed closely by Barrington Hargress with 17. Sebastian Rancik added 8 points and 5 rebounds, but the Buffaloes couldn’t overcome Kansas’ late surge.
