The NFL season has not even officially started yet, and Nick Bosa is already giving everyone something to talk about.
The San Francisco 49ers defensive star is expected to play Thursday against the Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne after missing the 2025 season with a torn ACL.
Yes, that ACL.
Bosa has already returned to full team practices, and defensive coordinator Raheem Morris confirmed Tuesday that the three-time Pro Bowl pass rusher is “going to play.”
That is potentially terrifying news for opposing quarterbacks.
Bosa has 64.5 career sacks and 168 quarterback hits in 85 games. He is also coming off the most serious injury of his career, making his return one of the biggest storylines of the NFL’s opening week.
And the timing could not be more dramatic.
The 49ers and Rams are kicking off the 2026 season in Australia. More than 100,000 fans are expected at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
The NFL wanted a spectacle.
Instead, it might get Nick Bosa hunting quarterbacks again.
