New York opened with two first-round selections, taking Arvell Reese and offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa after a trade with Cincinnati that drew scrutiny. The Giants followed with defensive back Colton Hood in the second and receiver Malachi Fields in the third.
The Giants closed out the class with three sixth-round picks — Bobby Jemison-Travis, J.C. Davis and Jack Kelly — adding depth but little proven impact.
EasySportz’s analyst criticized the overall approach, citing multiple perceived reaches and questioning the value of the trade that sent Dexter to Cincinnati to acquire the Mauigoa pick. The report noted the team failed to maximize value in key spots and did not land enough immediate difference-makers.
