The New York Knicks didn’t just beat one of the hottest teams in basketball — they overwhelmed them. Behind a balanced offensive attack and suffocating defense, the Knicks rolled past the San Antonio Spurs 114–89 on Sunday afternoon at Madison Square Garden, snapping San Antonio’s 11-game winning streak in emphatic fashion.

Bridges and Brunson lead the charge
Mikal Bridges led the way with 25 points, continuing his outstanding season as one of New York’s most reliable scorers. Bridges was efficient all afternoon, shooting 10-for-17 from the field and knocking down five three-pointers while also contributing defensively.

Victor Wembanyama led the Spurs with 25 points and 13 rebounds, continuing his dominant individual form. But despite his strong performance, San Antonio couldn’t match New York’s depth or defensive intensity.
San Antonio also struggled with turnovers, committing 22, which repeatedly gave the Knicks easy scoring opportunities and prevented any real comeback attempt.
After entering the game as one of the NBA’s hottest teams, the Spurs simply had no answer for New York’s energy.
Second half turns into a runaway
The game remained competitive early, but the Knicks took complete control after halftime.
