Jake Paul is officially making his return to the boxing ring, and he has picked a date that could make his comeback one of the most talked-about sporting events of the year.
After more than a year away from competition, Paul announced that he will return on December 24 in Dubai, headlining a major Christmas Eve boxing event promoted by Most Valuable Promotions. However, there is one major question surrounding the announcement: Who will step into the ring against him?
Paul Ready to Return After Devastating Knockout
Paul’s return comes after one of the toughest moments of his boxing career. In December 2025, he faced former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua in Miami, suffering a sixth-round knockout defeat.
The loss was particularly damaging because Paul suffered fractures to his jaw in two places. The injury required multiple surgeries and kept him away from the ring for more than a year.
Despite the setback, Paul has made it clear that he has no intention of walking away from boxing.
The 29-year-old currently holds a professional record of 12-2, with seven knockout victories. His only losses have come against Tommy Fury and Joshua.
Paul has built his boxing career by taking on recognizable names, including Mike Tyson, Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. His next opponent could provide another massive opportunity to attract attention.
Who Will Fight Jake Paul?
While the December 24 date and Dubai location have officially been confirmed, Paul’s opponent has not been announced.
Paul hinted that several names are being considered and challenged potential opponents to sign the contract.
That leaves plenty of room for speculation as fans wait to discover who will headline the Christmas Eve showdown.
Boxing World Waiting for Paul’s Comeback
Paul’s return is another major moment for a fighter who has consistently found ways to bring attention to boxing.
Coming back from a serious injury and a knockout loss will present a different challenge than anything he has faced before.
December 24 could mark the beginning of a completely new chapter for Jake Paul.
