Rumors about Denny Hamlin potentially retiring continue to circulate as the veteran driver moves deeper into his 40s, but the Joe Gibbs Racing star made it clear this week that he is not walking away just yet.

Hamlin told NASCAR media that he likely still has one more year left in him, noting his current contract runs through next season. While he stopped short of making any long-term guarantees, the comments offered the clearest indication yet that retirement is on the horizon.

The three-time Daytona 500 winner remains one of the top drivers in the NASCAR Cup Series and continues to compete at a high level despite balancing driving duties with his role as co-owner of 23XI Racing.

Hamlin has long said he does not want to race past the point where he can contend for wins and championships. For now, though, it appears fans will still see the No. 11 on track through at least next season.
