LONG BEACH, Calif. — The Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach returns this weekend with one of the strongest combined racing lineups of the year, featuring INDYCAR, INDY NXT by Firestone and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship all sharing the same iconic street circuit.

The event marks a rare crossover weekend in American motorsports, with both INDYCAR and IMSA airing on major broadcast networks across consecutive days, while INDY NXT fills out a full developmental support slate on the tight, unforgiving downtown Long Beach layout.

INDYCAR SERIES — Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach

  • Race: Sunday, April 19
  • Start time: 5:30 p.m. ET / 2:30 p.m. PT
  • TV: FOX
  • Streaming: FOX Sports App / FOX digital platforms

The INDYCAR feature serves as the weekend’s headliner, airing on FOX with a late-afternoon local start that transitions into primetime on the East Coast. The 1.968-mile street circuit is one of the most technical layouts on the schedule, demanding precision through tight corners and concrete walls that leave little margin for error.

INDY NXT BY FIRESTONE

  • Race: Sunday (support event)
  • TV / Streaming: FOX Sports digital platforms (select coverage of sessions and race, depending on broadcast allocation)

INDY NXT returns to Long Beach as the primary feeder series for INDYCAR, running on the same street course just hours ahead of the premier series. The event is widely viewed as a key development showcase for future INDYCAR talent.

IMSA WEATHERTECH SPORTSCAR CHAMPIONSHIP

  • Race: Saturday, April 18
  • Start time: 4:00 p.m. ET / 1:00 p.m. PT
  • TV: NBC
  • Streaming: Peacock (live coverage)

IMSA headlines Saturday with its sprint-format street race, featuring prototype and GT machinery navigating the same narrow Long Beach circuit. The event airs live on NBC and streams on Peacock, adding a major network presence to Saturday’s schedule.

WEEKEND BROADCAST OVERVIEW

Friday features practice and qualifying sessions across all three series, with coverage primarily distributed across FOX Sports digital platforms and Peacock depending on sanctioning body.

Saturday is led by IMSA competition on NBC and Peacock, while INDY NXT and additional support sessions fill the undercard.

Sunday closes the weekend with INDY NXT action followed by the INDYCAR Grand Prix of Long Beach on FOX.
