LONG BEACH, Calif. — The NTT IndyCar Series heads to Southern California this week for the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, one of the longest‑running and most iconic street races on the calendar. The event takes place Sunday, April 19, with green flag at 5:30 p.m. ET on the 1.97‑mile, 11‑turn temporary circuit around the Long Beach Convention Center.
Long Beach has been a staple of U.S. open‑wheel racing since the 1970s and consistently delivers tight competition, dramatic passing zones and a festival atmosphere that draws fans from across the West Coast.
Last year’s winner at Long Beach was Kyle Kirkwood, who paced the field to victory in the 2025 edition of the race.
Practice begins Friday evening before qualifying Saturday, setting the stage for what is expected to be another thrilling battle through “The Beach.” Lines will blur, brakes will get hot and the quest for street‑course glory resumes in earnest this weekend.
