Georgia has built a reputation for producing elite tight ends, and the 2026 room has a chance to be one of the deepest in college football.
It starts with Lawson Luckie, the proven veteran of the group. Luckie caught 15 passes for 158 yards and four touchdowns last season and gives Gunner Stockton a reliable target who already understands Georgia’s offense.
But the upside behind him is what makes this room ridiculous.
Elyiss Williams is a 6-foot-7 athletic freak who could become a nightmare for defenses with an expanded role. Then there’s Jaden Reddell, arguably the most intriguing player in the room. Reddell has shown flashes that remind you of Brock Bowers because of his athleticism and ability to move after the catch. That’s obviously an enormous comparison, but the physical tools are there for Reddell to become a serious weapon.
Ethan Barbour is another name that shouldn’t be forgotten. Injuries kept him sidelined for most of last season, limiting his opportunity to establish himself, but he’s another talented option who could finally get a chance to show what he can do when healthy.
And Georgia could have another wrinkle with 6-foot-6 freshman Kaiden Prothro.
Prothro is technically part of the wide receiver room, but his massive frame and hybrid WR/TE skill set could allow Georgia to move him around and potentially mix him into the tight end rotation. He’s the type of matchup piece that could become extremely interesting in Mike Bobo’s offense.
That’s Luckie, Williams, Reddell and Barbour, with Prothro potentially joining the party in certain packages.
With Georgia replacing significant production at wide receiver, don’t be surprised if Stockton leans heavily on his tight ends in 2026.
