The Buffalo Bills head to Las Vegas on Sunday for a Week 6 matchup against the Raiders, with both teams looking to strengthen their positions in the AFC playoff race.

Buffalo enters the game at 4-1 after an exciting 37-34 overtime victory over the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night. The Raiders, meanwhile, are 3-2 after suffering a 45-17 loss to the New England Patriots. With the Bills carrying one of the league’s most productive offenses and Las Vegas looking to bounce back, Sunday’s matchup at Allegiant Stadium presents an important test for both teams.

Kickoff is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. Eastern on CBS.

Josh Allen Leads Buffalo’s Explosive Offense

Quarterback Josh Allen remains the centerpiece of Buffalo’s offense. Through five games, Allen has thrown for 1,249 yards and seven touchdowns while adding eight rushing touchdowns. His ability to create plays with both his arm and legs makes him one of the most difficult quarterbacks to defend.

Allen was particularly dangerous against the Rams, throwing for 342 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 121 yards. His performance helped Buffalo survive a back-and-forth contest and improve to 4-1.

Running back James Cook has also been productive, rushing for 532 yards through five games. His speed and ability to create explosive plays give the Bills another weapon that Las Vegas must account for.

Head coach Joe Brady will look to keep the offense balanced while helping Allen avoid costly turnovers. Buffalo has committed nine giveaways over its last three games, making ball security an important focus heading into Sunday.

Raiders Need a Strong Response

Las Vegas will look to quarterback Kirk Cousins to help the offense recover from its disappointing performance against New England. Cousins has thrown for 1,269 yards and 12 touchdowns through five games, giving the Raiders a capable passing attack.

Tight end Brock Bowers has been one of Cousins’ primary targets, recording 312 receiving yards and three touchdowns. His ability to create mismatches could be especially important against a Buffalo defense that has struggled to contain opposing passing attacks.

The Raiders will also rely on running back Ashton Jeanty, who has rushed for 291 yards this season. Establishing the ground game could help Las Vegas control possession and prevent Allen from spending too much time on the field.

Head coach Klint Kubiak will need his team to improve its offensive line play and limit mistakes after the loss to New England.

A Major Test for Both Teams

Buffalo enters the matchup averaging 32.8 points per game, while Las Vegas has averaged 26.4. Both defenses have experienced difficulties, creating opportunities for the offenses to make an impact.

The Bills will try to maintain their momentum after the overtime win, while the Raiders need a response at home to remain competitive in the AFC West.

With Allen’s dual threat ability, Cousins’ passing production and two offenses looking to establish control, Sunday’s matchup could be an important measuring stick for both teams as the NFL season continues.
