The Philadelphia 76ers continued their impressive start to the 2026-27 NBA season Monday night, defeating the Chicago Bulls 126-107 at Xfinity Mobile Arena. Led by another strong performance from LeBron James and a fourth-quarter scoring explosion from Tyrese Maxey, Philadelphia secured its fourth consecutive victory and improved to 7-1.
The Sixers had their full starting lineup available for the first time in several games, bringing together James, Maxey, Joel Embiid, Jaylen Brown and rookie VJ Edgecombe. The group showed its potential throughout the night, giving Philadelphia plenty of offensive options.
LeBron James Makes an Impact
James finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and nine assists, coming just one assist short of a double-double. His playmaking was particularly important, as he repeatedly found teammates in transition and created easy scoring opportunities.
James helped establish an early connection with Edgecombe, delivering several impressive passes that allowed the young guard to take advantage of his speed and athleticism.
Edgecombe finished with 21 points, while Brown contributed 25 points and 11 rebounds. Embiid also added 15 points and eight rebounds in his return to the lineup.
Maxey Takes Over in the Fourth
Although Philadelphia held the advantage for much of the evening, Chicago remained competitive and entered the fourth quarter trailing by 11.
That changed when Maxey took control.
The All-Star guard scored 15 of his game high 26 points in the final period, helping Philadelphia create separation and put the game away. He also recorded 11 assists, four rebounds, two steals and two blocks.
Chicago received 24 points from rookie Caleb Wilson, but the Bulls struggled to keep pace with Philadelphia’s offensive firepower.
Philadelphia Keeps Rolling
The victory moves the 76ers to 7-1 and gives them four straight wins. With James continuing to create opportunities, Maxey leading the offense and multiple teammates producing consistently, Philadelphia is showing just how dangerous its lineup can be.
The Sixers will look to extend their winning streak Wednesday against Detroit as they continue building momentum early in the season.
