Todd Gurley jokingly blames himself and Donald Trump for Georgia’s shocking loss to Auburn after joining the president at a rally.

Georgia football fans might have found someone to blame for Saturday’s embarrassing loss to Auburn, and it isn’t Kirby Smart or Gunner Stockton. Apparently, it’s former Bulldogs superstar Todd Gurley and President Donald Trump.

Just one day before Georgia’s shocking 27-24 home loss to Auburn, Gurley accompanied Trump aboard Air Force One and attended a political rally in Dalton, Georgia.

Less than 24 hours later, the No. 1 team in college football suffered its first loss of the season to an unranked Auburn squad.

Gurley quickly took to social media following the defeat, posting a hilarious message on X.

“Damn I done made UGA lose‼️”

The former Georgia running back was clearly joking, but the timing couldn’t have been much worse.

Georgia jumped out to a 14-0 lead before allowing Auburn to score 24 unanswered points. The Bulldogs eventually tied the game at 24, but a costly Gunner Stockton fumble late in the fourth quarter helped set up Auburn’s game-winning field goal as time expired.

The defeat snapped Georgia’s nine-game winning streak against Auburn and ended its remarkable run of 53 consecutive victories over unranked opponents.

Now, some fans might be wondering whether the so-called Trump curse is actually real.

Of course, Gurley’s trip with the president had absolutely nothing to do with Georgia’s performance on the field. But college football fans love a good superstition, and this one practically writes itself.

One day, Gurley is flying on Air Force One with Trump. The next, Georgia suffers one of its most shocking losses in years.

Maybe Kirby Smart should make sure Gurley stays away from political rallies before the Bulldogs’ next big game.
