LEBANON, Tenn. — After severe weather forced Sunday night’s Borchetta Bourbon Music City Grand Prix to be postponed, the NTT IndyCar Series returns to Nashville Superspeedway on Monday afternoon for a 225-lap, 300-mile showdown beginning at 3 p.m. ET. The race will air live on FOX, stream on the FOX One app and be broadcast on the IndyCar Radio Network.
Andretti Global’s Kyle Kirkwood will lead the field to the green flag after capturing the NTT P1 Award in qualifying, edging hometown favorite Josef Newgarden, who starts alongside him on the front row. Newgarden enters as the defending Nashville winner after claiming victory at the 1.33-mile concrete oval last season.
The race was originally scheduled for Sunday evening but was delayed by storms before a second round of heavy rain forced IndyCar officials to postpone the event until Monday.
Monday’s event will cover 300 miles (225 laps), replacing the previous 400-mile distance used during the race’s return to Nashville Superspeedway.
Lead Lap Racing initially departed Nashville late Sunday night following the postponement due to prior commitments in Atlanta, but our team has since made the trip back to Nashville Superspeedway and will provide on-site coverage of Monday’s race as the IndyCar championship battle resumes in Music City.
