Kaden Honeycutt looked right at home Friday afternoon at Watkins Glen International as he chased a busy double-duty schedule between the ARCA Menards Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.
As of this writing, Honeycutt held a commanding four-second lead in the ARCA race with five laps remaining and appeared well on his way to completing the first half of an impressive afternoon. The Texas driver showed speed from the drop of the green flag and controlled the race on the historic road course while navigating traffic with ease.
The strong performance continued a breakout season for Honeycutt, who has quickly built momentum across multiple NASCAR national series starts. Running both races Friday gave him valuable extra track time ahead of the Truck Series event later in the day, where he looked to carry over the same speed and confidence.
If the ARCA race was any indication, Honeycutt may not be done making noise at the Glen.
