The Clippers counter with depth, versatility and a roster built for moments like this — at least on paper. When healthy, Los Angeles can overwhelm teams with scoring options and switchable defenders. Their stars can create offense from anywhere, and their supporting cast stretches the floor and punishes mistakes.
That “when healthy” caveat, however, has defined their season.
The matchup presents a contrast in styles. Golden State wants pace, spacing and chaos. The Clippers prefer control, physicality and half-court execution. Whoever dictates tempo likely controls the night.
Turnovers loom large. The Warriors thrive when they force mistakes and turn them into quick points. The Clippers, at their best, take care of the ball and make opponents defend deep into the shot clock.
There is also the matter of shot-making under pressure. In a game where every possession tightens, stars decide outcomes. Both sides have them. Only one side moves on.
The stakes are clear. Win, and you get another shot Friday against Phoenix with a playoff berth within reach.
