Max Verstappen to NASCAR? Suddenly, the possibility does not sound so crazy.
With Formula One off during NASCAR’s June trip to the San Diego Street Course, speculation is heating up that Verstappen could slide into a fourth entry for Trackhouse Racing in one of the most anticipated events of the summer. Nothing is official, but the pieces are almost too perfect to ignore.
The timing works. The crossover appeal works. And the Red Bull connection practically writes itself.
Trackhouse already thrives on global star power and bold moves, while Verstappen has never hidden his interest in racing anything with four wheels. Add in a tight, technical street course and the idea instantly becomes one of the coolest “what if” scenarios NASCAR has seen in years.
A Verstappen appearance would send the sport into overdrive. Formula One fans would flood into NASCAR for the weekend, social media would explode and the San Diego event could instantly become a crossover spectacle on the level of international motorsports showcases.
For now, it remains speculation. But if the stars align, NASCAR fans could soon see one of Formula One’s biggest superstars battling stock cars on the streets of Southern California.
