How To Watch, Listen To NASCAR Races At Indianapolis This Weekend

INDIANAPOLIS — The roar of engines returns to Indianapolis this weekend as NASCAR’s Cup Series, Xfinity Series, Craftsman Truck Series, and ARCA Menards Series ignite the tracks at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) and Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park (IRP). Fans can catch every moment through various viewing, listening, and online platforms. It’s NASCAR at Indy.

The action kicks off Friday at IRP. The ARCA Menards Series starts with practice and qualifying at 1 p.m. ET, followed by the LiUNA! 150 presented by Dutch Boy at 5:30 p.m. ET. The Craftsman Truck Series joins with practice and qualifying at 3:05 p.m. ET, leading into the TSport 200 at 8 p.m. ET. The race features 200 laps split into stages of 60, 60, and 80.

Saturday shifts focus to IMS for the Xfinity Series. Practice runs at noon ET, followed by qualifying at 1 p.m. ET. The Pennzoil 250 takes the green flag at 4:30 p.m. ET, covering 100 laps with stages at laps 30, 30, and 40. Meanwhile, the Cup Series holds practice at 1:05 p.m. ET and qualifying at 2:35 p.m. ET, setting the stage for Sunday’s main event.

Sunday caps the weekend with the NASCAR Cup Series’ Brickyard 400 at IMS. The race starts at 2 p.m. ET, spanning 160 laps with stages at laps 50, 50, and 60. Expect intense battles as drivers chase points in this iconic event.

Fans can watch the ARCA race and Truck Series on FS1, with Xfinity Series practice and qualifying streaming on The CW App. The Pennzoil 250 airs live on The CW, while Cup Series practice and qualifying broadcast on truTV. The Brickyard 400 will air on TNT, with simulcasts on truTV and Max. For streaming, the FOX Sports App covers FS1 events, while Fubo, DIRECTV STREAM, YouTube TV, and Hulu + Live TV offer additional options for cable broadcasts. Some races may also stream on Peacock.

For audio, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio provide live coverage of all events. Fans can tune in for play-by-play action, capturing every pass and pit stop, with Indianapolis Motor Speedway providing its radio services on the IMS Radio Network.

Weather may play a role, with forecasts predicting temperatures in the 80s and a 55% chance of rain Friday and Saturday, dropping to 20% Sunday. Drivers will need to adapt to potential wet conditions, adding drama to an already packed weekend. Indianapolis delivers a high-octane spectacle for motorsport fans, blending tradition and intensity across four series.

Last year’s Indianapolis weekend featured controversy at the finish, with NASCAR Competition Director Elton Sawyer having to explain the ending to reporters following the race.

This July, fans and drivers alike hope for a much calmer race weekend.

However, it would be rare to get a Sawyer appearance, as we have not seen him on camera this season, with NASCAR opting to go for an officiating podcast instead.
