ATHENS, Ga. — Georgia coach Kirby Smart is using Saturday’s G-Day spring game to reestablish rhythm, energy and confidence heading into the 2026 season.
The annual spring scrimmage for Georgia Bulldogs gives Smart a first live look at roster competition while also serving as a public reset button after an offseason of turnover and questions.
Smart has long treated G-Day as more than an exhibition, using it to set expectations, test depth and reinforce the physical identity that has defined Georgia’s rise under his leadership.
With new faces across key positions, the focus shifts to execution and swagger — the trademark intensity Smart demands before fall camp even begins.
